我對中國在海洋治理中不斷演變的角色一直感興趣。 自 1982 年以來，《聯合國海洋法公約》（UNCLOS）一直是海洋治理的基本國際準則。 然而，新的海上意識形態衝突和競爭時代帶來了前所未有的挑戰，一些新興的海洋國家正意圖挑戰先前確定的規範和價值觀。

作為我的研究重點，中國一直在使用海上民兵來增加其在南海的存在。 作為「非西方大國」，中國對海權的認識與傳統以海軍為主導的海上帝國不同，也更為全面。 因此，其國際參與海洋之力的動機有可能重塑現有的海上秩序。

因此，我對中國在海洋治理擔當的角色如何重塑現有的海洋秩序，以及如何它轉變我們對海洋安全的理解感到興趣。 這一研究方對海洋安全這領域很是重要，皆因在國際背景下，海洋治理是現今多邊合作面臨的主要挑戰之一，因此本研究將具有重大貢獻。通過這次研究，我希望能為海上安全的研究和政策框架提供更多出路，並加強亞太地區保護維護其海洋安全的能力。

我目前正在與該領域的幾位學者合作，並與澳大利亞海上力量中心密切合作。

印太地區的國家越來越擔心中國一直在南海採取脅迫和準軍事行動，因為這些行動挑戰了傳統對海上軍事行動的認知。 本研究將揭示中國灰色地帶行動的動機以及這些行動對非國家持份者、國家和地區組織的影響。 通過兩層博弈分析（two-level game analysis），我希望了解中國的海洋安全持份者、國家和中國國內外區域組織的海洋脅迫行動的關聯。

本研究的主要目的是為亞洲研究、國際關係和安全研究的學者提供一個有關中國推行灰色地帶戰略對亞太地區海洋秩序影響的多元見解。 它將通過研究準軍事灰色地帶行動，為海洋治理的理解提供新的視角。 其次，這次研究將有助於政策制定者更全面了解中國的灰色地帶戰略以及國內海洋安全持份者參與海洋治理的情況，以增強其維護國家海上安全的能力。 我已為這項研究起草了一份初步提案，然而目前仍需更多時間才能發展成更成熟的研究項目。因此，歡迎有興趣者與我討論未來的合作空間。

中國在太平洋地區不斷演變的政策已成為澳大利亞政府關注的焦點。 儘管目前已有不少人對南太平洋各國對北京和堪培拉之間的利益競爭進行了研究，但仍然很少有人從一個整體視角去探討中國在南太平洋與西方國家的戰略競爭，以及它如何影響中國海洋強國和全球海洋治理的發展。

我目前正在與澳大利亞國立大學的研究員合作起草一份研究計劃，敬請期待。

在人們更熱衷於了解中國的同時，教授當代中國政治制度、經濟和社會也開始變得更具挑戰性。 講師們在課堂上經常遇到敏感話題、意見分歧、思想矛盾以及對各種中國政治問題的興趣。 本研究評估自2020年新冠肺炎期間，在澳中關係下滑的背景下，澳大利亞的高等教育機構的當代中國研究課程。它將採訪作為中國研究課程講師的學者，了解他們的教學經驗，包括課程管理、課程安排和課堂教學經驗。

作為首席研究員，我將與澳大利亞其他大學的講師合作，目前研究計劃已經起草，可能會在 2023年開始收集數據，敬請期待。
